The LED Light Therapy Mask Series 2 has 236 bulbs:
110 red (633nm) LED bulbs
110 near-infrared (830nm) LED bulbs
16 deep near-infrared (1072nm) LED bulbs
This wavelength has more recently been shown in scientific evidence to be highly effective for skin renewal and wrinkle reduction, penetrating up to 10mm into the hypodermis to stimulate collagen production deep below the surface of the skin.
Step 1: Start with a sensitivity test (find out how to do this in your mask's manual).
Step 2: Cleanse your skin and pat dry. Attach the mask, then adjust the strap around your head (for the Series 2 Mask, attach the top strap across the top of your head).
Step 3: Switch on, sit back and relax for 10 minutes. The mask will automatically switch off when your treatment is finished.
Step 4: Remove the mask from your head and wipe clean.

Step 1: Cleanse your skin and pat dry.
Step 2: Select your strap length and attach it to the device before securing it around your neck.
Step 3: Press the power button to turn on your device. The anti-ageing mode on the controller will illuminate to indicate your treatment is in progress. Your device will automatically default to the Anti-Ageing mode (Red 633 nm, NIR 830nm, NIR 1072 nm).
Step 4: To select the Brightening mode (Green 532nm, NIR 830nm), press the power button again to change the mode. The Brightening mode on the controller will illuminate to indicate your treatment is in progress and your 10-minute timer has started.
Step 5: Once complete, remove the device and wipe clean. Store in the protective safety bag.
Red and near-infrared LED light therapy increases circulation, brings oxygen to cells and increases cell turnover while boosting collagen production. Green LED is ideal for brightening the complexion and reducing hyperpigmentation. The combination of wavelengths reduces wrinkles and creates a more even skin tone.
Certain medical conditions, medications, and chemicals are known to induce photosensitivity, a common side effect of numerous substances. These include various medications, skincare products, supplements, antibiotics, diuretics, and steroids. Additional substances that may cause photosensitivity include:
- St. John's Wort
- Certain perfumes, antiperspirants, antibacterial soaps
- Artificial sweeteners, naphthalene (mothballs)
- Petroleum products, laundry detergent brightening agents
- Cadmium sulphide (used in tattooing)
Individuals with the following medical conditions should avoid using this device:
- Epilepsy or light-triggered seizures
- Metabolic disorders such as Porphyria
- Autoimmune disorders like Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)
- Photosensitive disorders
- Active cancer
- Eye diseases (e.g., glaucoma, cataracts, recent laser eye surgery)
- Light-induced headaches or migraines
- Those currently using photosensitive medications or skincare products
Contraindicated Skincare:
- Salicylic Acid
- AHA and BHA exfoliants (e.g., Glycolic Acid, Fruit Acids)
- Retinoids, Hydroquinone, Tretinoin, Benzoyl Peroxide
- Any other products that cause sun sensitivity or phototoxic reactions
Contraindicated Medications:
- Antibiotics, especially those for skin conditions
- Isotretinoin or Roaccutane (within 6 months)
- Topical or injectable steroids (wait 3 months post-steroid injection)
- Diuretics
- St. John’s Wort
Other Contraindications:
- Coal tar, deodorants, antibacterial soaps, artificial sweeteners
- Naphthalene, petroleum products, brightening agents in detergents
- Cadmium sulphidea
Before carrying out your first treatment you must carry out a sensitivity test. Follow the step by step guide below;
1. Power on your device.
2. Switch ON the controller and allow the device to run for its full 10-minute treatment program. The device will automatically switch off after 10 minutes.
3. At any time if your skin feels HOT or uncomfortable STOP using the device immediately.
4. After the treatment wait at least 6 hours. If the skin appears red and/or itchy the device is unsuitable for you.
5. Return the device to CurrentBody within 14 days for a full refund.
